What are Dentures?
Dentures are usually a fantastic, quick and cost-effective solution for replacing multiple missing teeth. However, they do have some drawbacks. How do implant secured dentures work?
In general, the fewer teeth you have remaining, the more difficult it becomes to produce a secure, stable and retentive denture. You generally need between 4 and 8 implants to secure each denture in place depending on how far back the denture extends. Although this is a pretty straightforward treatment, we always tell our patients that it can take anywhere from three to six months for the dentures to properly heal.
